PRE SEASON CRICKET
TRAINING SCHEDULE – COMMENCING SUNDAY 8TH AUGUST
*The training
session set down for 25/09/2010 is subject to alteration due to the possibility
of having a pre-season trial.
All listed sessions
will be at “Health Works” 175 Cross Road Edwardstown.
Players will be
charged $4.00 per session to cover the cost of hiring the nets.
Dates of the
sessions will be
Practice
outdoors at Brighton Oval will commence on Tuesday 28th And Thursday 30th
of September from 5.30pm onwards, and each Tuesday and Thursday there-after
unless advised otherwise.
This season
under 17s will be training with the Seniors and will
commence their training sessions at 5.00pm. Senior players will be asked to
come to training as early as possible to assist with training the Under 17
squad.
All players are
encouraged to bring out any new players to the Club or advise
me of their details so as an invitation may be sent to them to join the club.
The committee of
the club has decided to nominate four Two Day sides and one One
Day side to compete in the ATCA in Season 2010/2011.

POSITION AVAILABLE –
ASSISTANT COACH/CAPTAIN OF A GRADE SENIORS
The Brighton
Cricket Club is seeking expressions of interest in relation to the position of
Assistant Coach/Captain of the A grade side for Season 2010/11.
The club is
endeavouring to obtain the services of a person who is interested in developing
or extending their skills in the Coaching field. Initially the successful
person will with work as an assistant to the Senior Coach with the idea of
taking over the senior post when the present incumbent retires.
We are looking
for a person who is preferably a top order batsman to take on this interesting
role. Preference will be given to players who have had experience in A or B
grade District Level or have played in a high grade of the ATCA or similar
associations.
Applicants do
not need to have any previous coaching experience as they will work under the
direct supervision and guidance of the senior coach, initially.
Remuneration
will be considered taking into account previous cricket experience and
availability to carry out duties assigned by the senior coach.
